CII West Bengal Launches Asansol-Durgapur Developmental Council (ADDC) in Durgapur
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), West Bengal, launched the Asansol-Durgapur Developmental Council (ADDC) on July 19, 2025, to boost industrial development in South Bengal. The council aims to identify local priorities, advocate enabling policies, and drive investment-led growth. Mr. Kabir Dutta was announced as the Chairman of ADDC. The launch was attended by Shri Pradip Majumdar, Minister of Panchayats & Rural Development, and Mr. Kabir Dutta, Chairman of Asansol Durgapur Development Authority. The council will focus on infrastructure development, job creation, and sustainable industrialization, working closely with regional authorities, industry stakeholders, and academia to unlock the region’s potential.
