GOVT Is For Discussing All Issues In Parliament: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made it clear that  his government in prepared to discuss all issues in the  Winter Session of Parliament including economic , unemployment and Jammu & Kashmir post abrogation  of special status in the border state.  The opposition has prioritized the issues for slamming the NDA government in The Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha which commenced Winter Session on Monday, November 18.He was welcomed at the entrance to the Parliament House by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi, Arjun Ram Meghwal, MOS in Lok Sabha Lok Sabha, V. Muraleedharan, MOS in the Rajya Sabha and Minister of State in Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), Dr Jitendra Singh. Later, Prime Minister Modi said in Rajya Sabha that people’s hearts can be won by political parties even without rushing to the Well of the House to register their protest on various issues. Speaking in the House during a special discussion marking 250 sessions of Rajya Sabha, he said the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and the Biju Janata Dal have wonderfully adhered to parliamentary norms by not entering the Well of the House.”Yet they have made their points effectively. Much can be learnt from this … People’s hearts can be won even without rushing to the Well,” he said.PM Modi said parties, including his BJP, has to learn from the NCP and BJD in this regard. The Rajya Sabha is about checks and balances. “This is absolutely essential … Here is also a difference between checking and clogging,” he said. Ahead of the winter session, PM  Modi on Monday expressed the hope that the Winter session of Parliament will be a productive one with high quality debates in which all MPs will contribute through their intellect. The Winter session will continue till December 13.Modi said the short session will be the last session of Parliament in 2019 and a very significant one.”This is the 250th session of the Rajya Sabha. During this session on November 26, there is Constitution Day, when our Constitution completes 70 years. The Constitution inculcates the unity, integrity, diversity and beauty of the country and is a driving force for the country,” he said.

 Parliament commenced day’s proceedings on Monday after paying homage to Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley, who were Minister for External Affairs and Finance Minister respectively in PM Modi headed first NDA Government. Meanwhile, Lok Sabha will on Tuesday, November 19 debate unprecedented pollution affecting Northern India including the national capital Delhi.(edited by PK Chakravarty)
