MANOHAR Lal Khattar is Expected to be sworn in as Haryana CM on Saturday:JJP supremo Dushyant Chautala Indicates party’s 10 MLAs may support Haryana BJP govt, if Common Minimum Program acceptable to JJP

Manohar Lal Khattar is expected to be sworn in as Chief Minister of Haryana tomorrow and his Council of Ministers will be decided after the Deepavali. The newly elected MLAs of Haryana  will meet at  11 AM tomorrow to elect Khattar as their legislative  party’s leader before he calls on Governor Satyadev Narayan Arya seeking to form government with the support of Independent lawmakers.  Meanwhile, pledging of support by Sirsa MLA Gopal Kanda has created problem for the ruling BJP.He was accused of abetment to suicide of an airhostess named Geetika. He was in jail for about one and a half years. He claims there is no case pending against him.BJP’s observer for Haryana Anil Jain   said the party’s central leaders will take final decision on Gopal kanda.

Manohar Lal Khattar after meeting central leaders in Delhi  on Friday said he will form the government in the northern state.   “We will tell you soon about swearing-in.” However, Khattar remained silent on the exact numbers he has managed to gather, nor did he comment on reports that tainted MLA Gopal Kanda is being offered a cabinet berth in return of his support to the Khattar govt. Haryana Lokhit Party chief and former power broker Gopal Kanda won from his home constituency of Sirsa. On Thursday evening, a photo of him along with independent MLA Ranjeet Singh on what appeared to be a special flight was circulated as news emerged that he had proclaimed his support for the saffron camp. A former Minister of the previous Bhupindar Singh Hooda administration, Kanda had resigned after being accused of abetting the suicide of an air hostess who worked for his now defunct aviation company in 2012. He had even been jailed in the case following which he was let off on bail. Four years later, Kanda along with his brother were charged for alleged illegal development in Sirsa. He is now emerging to be a key player in the elections since his party is said to be in touch with five other Independent MLAs.The BJP parliamentary board authorised party chief Amit Shah on Thursday to take all decisions regarding government formation in Haryana and Maharashtra. The board, which is the apex organisational body of the BJP, met here after the party won a majority of seats in alliance with Shiv Sena in Maharashtra and appeared set to form government in Haryana as well after emerging as the single largest party. Party sources said there will be no change in chief ministers of any state, a decision on expected lines. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Shah, besides other senior party leaders, attended the board’s meeting. The Bharatiya Janata Party is likely to stake claim to form the government in Haryana with the support of Independent MLAs. So far, All 8 independent MLAs ready to support BJP govt in Haryana. The saffron party, which won 40 seats, have roped in all Independent MLAs. “We have come here to extend our support to the Khattar government in Haryana,” Rawat, an independent MLA from Prithla constituency, said. Jannayak Janata  Party  boss  Dushyant Chautala  at a news conference in New Delhi  on Friday, 25 October 2019, has indicated  his ten newly elected MLAs  may support  Khattar led Haryana government.  “We will not only support from outside a state government but also join it if it supports our vision and a Common Minimum Program (CMP)”,he added  Earlier, the  legislature party of JJP met.Chudhury Devi Lal,  his  great grandfather and grandfather  Om Prakash Chautala were part of NDA.
