MULTI Starrer TAKHT Is Karan Johar’s Next Directorial Venture

FILMS made by Karan Johar, nicknamed as KJo, are eagerly awaited by movie buffs. The second generation film personality in the Hindi movie world, wears too many hats as a film director, producer, screenwriter, costume designer, actor and television personality. He is primarily known for his work in Hindi films. The 46 years old director-producer makes films under the banner created by his acclaimed father producer Yash Johar and has established a strong foothold in the competitive entertainment business. It is  official that he has taken the responsibility  to direct a historical  movie  titled  TAKHT  two  years  after his controversial  and popular film   Ae Dil Hai Mukshil  starring Aishwarya Rai, Anil Kapur and Ranbir Kapoor.. It is an incredible story embedded in history… An epic battle, a story about greed, love and succession for coveted throne during Mughal era. He tweets  to inform his  fans that  for  his  upcoming  directorial  movie Takht  Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Janhvi Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor and others have  consented  and  have been  roped in .

Takht revolves around the battle for the throne of the Mughal Empire. The period drama also stars Anil Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar. Ranveer Singh, currently filming a Karan Johar production title Simmba, cannot hide his excitement about the grand project. “Proud, excited & honoured to be a part of KARAN JOHAR’S MULTI-STARRER HISTORICAL MAGNUM OPUS. #TAKHT”.  Kalank actor Alia also shared the news of her doing another KJo film. She wrote, “Back where I begun… to my roots! So so so so excited to be a part of this historical magnum opus! TAKHT! Directed by the one and ONLY! @karanjohar” The other members of the cast also said they are “thrilled and honoured” to be a part of the magnum opus.It is also made public that it is scheduled for 2020 release in 2020 . Takht’s screenplay is by Sumit Roy and the dialogues of the film are written by Hussain Haidry. Apart from Takht, Karan is all set to present films like Student Of The Year 2, Simmba, Kesari, Kalank, Brahmastra and Ranbhoomi under the banner of Dharma Productions  founded  by his  illustrious  father  Yash Johar An excited film trade expert   Akshaye Rathi says  Takht is probably the biggest casting coup since K3G.
