He is primarily known for his work in Hindi films. The 46 years old director-producer makes films under the banner created by his acclaimed father producer Yash Johar and has established a strong foothold in the competitive entertainment business. It is official that he has taken the responsibility to direct a historical movie titled TAKHT two years after his controversial and popular film Ae Dil Hai Mukshil starring Aishwarya Rai, Anil Kapur and Ranbir Kapoor.. Takht revolves around the battle for the throne of the Mughal Empire. The period drama also stars Anil Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar.
