Actor Sanjay Dutt diagnosed with lung cancer

Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, 61, has been diagnosed with lung cancer. Incidentally, his Kolkata born mother  Nargis Dutt, who was an iconic film actress, had succumbed to the disease in 1981. Noted trade analyst and film industry insider Komal Nahta has tweeted ‘’Sanjay Dutt diagnosed with lung cancer. Let’s pray for his speedy recovery.” According to reports, Dutt will fly to the US for treatment soon. Earlier on Tuesday afternoon, as the news spread that the actor may have cancer, Dutt had taken to social media to urge well-wishers not to worry or unnecessarily speculate. “Hi friends, I am taking a short break from work for some medical treatment. My family and friends are with me and I urge my well-wishers not to worry or unnecessarily speculate. With your love and good wishes, I will be back soon,” he tweeted. Dutt’s health came into focus last Saturday evening when the TOI says when Sanjay Dutt tweeted that he is taking a short break from work for some medical treatment, people got worried and started speculating. His tryst with drugs is known to all.’’ As per reports, he was taken to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital when he complained of chest discomfort and breathlessness. He tested negative for COVID-19 and soon got discharged which was followed by his post on social media. News confirms that the actor is indeed suffering from Stage 3 lung cancer. He will soon be flying to the US for treatment.’’ Sadak 2 starring Alia Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt and Aditya Roy Kapur in the lead roles, will premiere on Disney Plus Hotstar VIP on August 28, reports The Indian Express, as Maanayata, his wife, urged his fans to avoid from speculation about Sanjay Dutt’s health.
