BJP leader Jyotiraditya Scindia, mother tested positive for Covid-19
BJP leader and former Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and his mother Rajmata Madhavi Raje Scindia of Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh have been tested positive for Covid-19. Aaj Tak says they were admitted to a South Delhi hospital four days ago. Their reports of testing were available on Monday, June 09. Recently, BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra was admitted to a Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon after showing symptoms of COVID-19. He claims to have recovered. Scindia,49, who quit India’s GOP and joined BJP with several followers, is a candidate for June 19 Rajya Sabha election from his home state. Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who has been self-isolating after developing mild fever and sore throat, got himself tested for COVID-19 today. The chief minister has avoided meetings and visitors since Sunday afternoon, an AAP spokesperson said. The test report is expected later in the night or by Wednesday morning.
