Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos during his   India visit on 15 January will see huge protest by traders across India under the banner of the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) in association with All India Mobile Retailers Association, All India Consumer Products Distributors Federation and more than 5000 Trade bodies. The traders will hold demonstrations in about 300 cities As per media reports Jeff Bezos has also sought a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The CAIT has already sent a communication last week to Prime Minister seeking an audience with CAIT delegation prior to holding a meeting with Jeff Bezos. It will enable CAIT to apprise the Prime Minister of the sinister game and evil design of Amazon business game which has already destroyed the business of lakhs of small traders in India. CAIT National President Mr B C Bhartia & Secretary General Praveen Khandewal said that Jeff Bezos visit to India is to build a wrong and false narrative that Amazon is empowering small traders of with tremendous growth in their respective business through its e commerce portal. It’s a white lie having no legs to stand, said Khandelwal . Both Mr Bhartia & Mr Khandewal questioned that Amazon is already having about 5 lakh retailers on their portals, as per their claim. Amazon should make public that what all they have done so far to empower the existing retailers on their platform. What is the quantum of business these retailers are doing annually since last 5 years. Whether anyone of them is listed as top 20 sellers during last 5 years?. The answers to these questions will expose Amazon. If they could not empower existing retailers on their portal, why they are looking for more retailers?. Amazon is trying to create false propaganda that it is the true friend of traders though it is the worst enemy. Both Mr Bhartia & Mr Khandelwal said that Amazon & Flipkart are habitual offenders of policy & law, convicted several times in various Countries for their Anti- trust policies, economic terrorist who are destined to destroy e-commerce & retail trade ecosystem of India, trying to create crony capitalism and making all efforts to control, dominate & monopolise the retail trade & e-commerce market of India through predatory pricing, deep discounting, exclusivity and preferential seller system. The Traders across Country will observe 15 January as National Protest Day across the Country under which Jeff Bezos visit will be strongly opposed by gathering of traders by holding Halla Bol Rally & Sit-In in different cities of all States of the Country.
