TAPASEE  Pannu, model  turned actress  ,has flatly  turned down offer  to be paired  with  Bollywood’s  Nawazuddin Siddiqui saying the storyline does not interest  her. The Deccan Chronicle says casting director Honey Trehan was all set to team up with ace actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, 44, for a crime thriller. The director was looking for  a  powerful female lead opposite Nawaz in the film. Trehan had approached Mumbai based Taapasee Pannu who has also starred in several South Indian movies for the same but she refused to be part of the project. The ‘Pink’ star is reportedly not keen on getting paired with Nawaz. A source informed DC  “Honey and Taapasee were in talks for the murder mystery, but the actress didn’t like the project. Apparently the Delhi born  trained software professional  Taapasee was not keen on being paired with Nawaz in the film. She therefore refused the offer.”Earlier there were reports that Honey Trehan would be making his directorial debut with a thriller drama based on the life of lady gangster Sapna Didi with Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan in the lead. Vishal Bhardwaj was supposed to produce that film but later the two had major fallout and Vishal decided to direct the film himself.  Taapasee is currently busy shooting for Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Manmarziyaan’ with Vicky Kaushal and Abhishek Bachchan. She will be next seen in ‘Soorma’ and later ‘Mulk’. Taapsee Pannu will be teaming up with megastar Amitabh Bachchan for Sujoy Ghosh’s next and she hopes to recreate the magic of their blockbuster ‘Pink’. The film is an official remake of the 2016 Spanish film Contratiempo also known as The Invisible Guest.“I am very excited about this film. People wait to work with him and I got to work with him twice in two years. It gives me lot of excitement and I hope the magic gets repeated. When people say, Bachchan sir and I are a hit pair, it excites me. We will start shooting from June 14,” an excited Taapasee said. Taapasee, it may be recalled made her acting debut with the 2010 Telugu film Jhummandi Naadam  directed by Raghavendra Rao.
