AMIDST campaign for November 3 presidential election , POTUS Donald Trump and US First Lady Melania have been tested positive for COVID-19 after his one top aide was  tested positive for the dreaded virus. He  announced on his official Twitter account early Friday that he and First Lady Melania have  tested positive for the coronavirus. “Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. Hope Hicks, “who has been working so hard without even taking a small break, has just tested positive for Covid-19. Terrible!” Trump said. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has  wished  his friend’s early recovery. President Trump says ’ We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!” The announcement has shocked his millions of supporters  across the North American nation .His scheduled public appearances in the crucial final weeks of the election campaign are likely to be affected. Trump confirmed in an interview with Fox News that Hope Hicks, one of his closest confidantes, had tested positive adding later on Twitter that he and First Lady Melania Trump were awaiting their own test results. Trump did not say how long he was planning to be in isolation — he is regularly tested for the potentially deadly virus but the tests can yield false negative results. It wasn’t immediately clear whether he would cancel his Friday schedule of campaign events including one rally in Florida. As per the protocols prescribed by the U S Centres for Disease Control and Prevention ,people are advised to  stay indoors and isolate themselves for 14 days, if they  have been exposed to the virus. Hicks was traveling with Trump on Air Force One just this Tuesday to fly to Cleveland for the first presidential debate with Democrat Joe Biden. She was also with him on the Marine One helicopter Wednesday when he flew back to the White House after a rally in Minnesota.
