US Prez Trump says immigration to The United States will be temporarily halted

President Donald Trump said on Monday that he would temporarily suspend immigration to the United States because of the new coronavirus pandemic. The US economy has been impacted adversely and he has announced a bonanza for its revival. In rewet, he referred to the “Invisible Enemy,” a phrase he has used to describe the virus that has killed more than 42,000 people out of more than 766,660 infections in this nation. In light of the attack from the Invisible Enemy, as well as the need to protect the jobs of our GREAT American Citizens, I will be signing an Executive Order to temporarily suspend immigration into the United States!” he said. Trump said the move would also protect Americans’ jobs, though the state-imposed lockdowns to slow the virus’s spread have already left 22 million people in the US out of work. Trump gave no further details about what the measure would entail, how it would be implemented or how long it would be in place. e said on Monday, however, that “we’ve really done the right thing” on fighting the virus and that letting it spread unchecked would have been an “atrocity. “Trump , seeking re-election  to the White House amidst campaign is being criticized by his political opponents for initially downplaying the virus. He had reportedly likened it to the ordinary flu and said was under control in the United States before announcing national emergency. Trump campaigned for office on a platform of immigration scepticism and has made policies restricting immigration central to his presidency.
