Attack on Hindus are purely communal, not political
Religious Affairs Advisor AFM Khalid Hasan said in an event that ‘harassment of Hindus is not communal’, rather it is ‘political’. Well, It’s an old recording people hear from time to time, under any administration for last five decades. Every government in Bangladesh denied Hindu persecution, although the whole world knows about it. It’s an ‘open secret’. Several foreign governments including President Trump and the UN multiple times voiced concern and urged the Bangladesh government to stop it.
But it is not stopping, at this time under Dr. Mohammad Yunus administration the Hindus and other religious minorities are on the verge of extinct, as militant Islamists and mob routinely persecuting them in all possible ways, that includes killing, raping, looting, unlawful occupation of lands and businesses and forceful conversion. Hindus are crying in Bangladesh for their survival and their leader Chinmoy Krishna Das is in jail for fabricated charges. Let’s see some examples, why those atrocities against Hindus are communal, and not political.
If the violence against Hindus is not communal, then why the Hindu temples are being attacked and deities are destroyed, while the Mosques are not attacked? Present government is outraged at Sheikh Hasina, she built 560 model mosques, none of those were attacked, although her father’s house, presently a museum, was destroyed! Sheikh Hasina did not build any temple, yet Hindu temples are being attacked, why? Because it is communal persecution. The government is also Islamized and communal.
Why Hindu singer Rahul Anand’s house was attacked and he was evicted, because he is a Hindu, even though he was not involved with Awami League politics? Ritmik Ghatak, a famous filmmaker, his house is destroyed, because he bears a Hindu name! Hindu youth, Utsav Mandal, 19 who has no political identity, even though he was killed (!) and he was killed in front of police and military and within a police station, by the madrassa students?
The Daily Prothom Alo on 12 Sept 2024 published a detailed report headlined, “Communal violence: 1068 houses and business establishments attacked during 5-20 August”. Those attacks are just communal, not political. Religious Affairs Advisor had visited Dhakeshwari temple multiple times, the Amir of Jamaat and even the Chief Adviser Dr. Yunus visited the temple because the attacks on Hindus were simply communal.
The New York Times, Fox News, and the world’s major media published news of Hindu persecution, destruction of temples etc. Still the present government is lying. Is it possible to attack temple or destroy deities without a religious vendetta? The answer is ‘no’. So all those attacks were communal. That is why Hindu young man Rabi Das was beaten to death by Muslims because he had married a Muslim girl?
At this time Bangladesh is boiling against the brutal rape and killing of Achiya, a little girl, people wants justice. Girls are not safe in Bangladesh anymore. Hard working people are tired of this repressive regime. Mob violence jeopardized the whole country.
