KEJRIWAL Accuses BJP Of Ruining National Economy

DELHI  Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s arch critic, has  lashed  out at the NDA government  for rising fuel prices and falling  INR against US Dollar  saying the national economy was never in such a “mess “as it  now under Modi Sarkar .On Tweeter he says “Petrol/Diesel prices touching an all time high. Rupee falling to a historic low. BJP’s Central govt, in its last months, either does not know what to do or is simply not bothered about the hardships it is heaping on Aam Aadmi. Economy was never in such a mess!” the Aam Aadmi Party supremo said. Kejriwal’s comments come on a day the petrol and diesel prices in Delhi rose to a record Rs 79.15 and Rs 71.15 a litre respectively, while the rupee crashed to yet another historic low of 71.21 against USD. In a statement, the AAP said the party’s national convener expressed serious concern over the “deteriorating” condition of the economy. “The Aam Aadmi Party is of the clear view that the grossly incompetent Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has failed to address the concerns of rising fuel prices and depreciation of the rupee.”Urging the government to address the issues at the earliest, it said the BJP would face “certain defeat” in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, if the situation continued to aggravate. Responding to his statement, one reader has written in the Pioneer that   Petrol is an imported item and consumption must be curtailed. The erstwhile UPA government was giving a subsidy of Rs.1.61 lakh crores per year to contain the price. Is it warranted? It is expenditure without any outcome. The Modi government is bringing out schemes like gas lines to BPL families, free electricity to BPL families, Housing to the poorer sections of the society, direct credit of subsidies to the accounts thus eliminating the middlemen.CM  Kejriwal thinks and gives subsidies to all sections of the society, poor and rich, equally. Is it fair? Just vote bank politics and Modi is not subscribing to it. He believes that subsidy must be directed to the genuine poor, the letter added.(pic courtesy to India TV)
