MISS Mexico Vanessa Ponce De Leon,26, has been crowned the 68th Miss World .She has triumphed over 118 contestants from as many countries including India. Manushi Chhillar from Haryana, who was Miss World in 2017, crowned her successor at a glitzy function at Sanya City Arena in China. Miss World 2017, Manushi Chhillar happily crowned her successor and it was a beautiful moment to witness for all present there. Miss Mexico Vanessa Ponce De Leon wore a stunning gown to the finale. The first runner-up title has gone to Thailand’s representative and Femina Miss India 2018 Anukreethy Vas failed to make it even to the top 12. Having pursued a degree in International Business, Vanessa, is currently on the board of directors of a rehab centre for girls and volunteers for ‘Migrantes en el Camino’. She is a speaker for the National Youth Institute as well as working as a model and a presenter. An adventurous soul, she has qualified as an open water scuba diver, and also enjoys playing volleyball, painting and ultimate Frisbee, according to the official Miss World website. Miss World 2018 was the 68th edition of the Miss World pageant .She has a degree in international business, volunteers for “Migrantes en el Camino” and is on the board of directors of a rehab centre for girls, according to the Miss World website.The colourful ceremony included US group Sister Sledge performing their 1979 disco anthem “We Are Family.”First runner up Thailand’s Nicolene Pichapa Limsnukan, a 20-year-old studying business administration.
