CBI, probing the mysterious death of Bollywood actor  Sushant Singh Rajput in his Mumbai residence on June 14, has requested the Forensic department of AIIMS, New Delhi, to give a medico-legal opinion. A medical board of forensic experts has been constituted by AIIMS under the chairmanship of Dr. Sudhir Gupta to study the case and submit its findings to the Investigating agency to provide necessary medical records to the forensic team for their analysis. The CBI will analyze the injury pattern in relation to the medical findings in the case amid claim by the Mumbai Police that he committed suicide. Meanwhile, an SIT deputed from its Deli headquarters to  Mumbai on Saturday, 22 August 2020 went to the late actor’s residence and recreated the crime scene. CBI has interrogated several persons including SSR’s personal staffers, friends, acquaintances and his kin. It is expected to record statements of Rhea Chakraborty, 28, controversial filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, 71, her reported friend, philosopher and guide and others. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is not satisfied with her statement recorded by it.   The SIT led by CBI Superintendent of Police Nupur Prasad, has formed three teams to take the investigation forward.
