DADA reaches home from hospital, says ‘’I am perfectly OK’’

Sourav Ganguly, BCCI president and former Indian cricket team captain, was today discharged from Woodlands hospital in South Kolkata where he was rushed on January 2 following a mild cardiac arrest. Renowned cardiologist Dr. Devi Shetty said that  Saurav Ganguly is fit now and he can resume work. Earlier, the medical board met this morning and discussed Ganguly’s health condition with Dr Shetty. He was permitted to leave the hospital on Thursday , January 6 but he had opted to be there till Friday. At home, he will be under care of a medical team. His wife Dona, an acclaimed Odisi danseuse, his elder brother Snehasish Ganguly, ex- cricketer, his family received him at his parental south Kolkata’s Behala residence.  He underwent angioplasty surgery at the Hospital. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah had  enquired about his health . West Bengal Governor Jagdip Dhankhar, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah, Minister of state for Finance ex-BCCI President Anurag Thakur were among those who had visited him in the woodlands.
