India-US Economic Relationship Moving To New Heights of Cooperation 

India- USA economic cooperation is key to script short ,medium ,long term healthy growth and development in both nations despite challenges as emphasized by various speakers of the economic conclave organised by Indo American Chamber of Commerce (IACC ) – East India Council in Kolkata on 24th August 2022 . IACC organised  economic conclave on the topic   ” Perspectives of Indian Economy respect to Global Scenario ”  and ” Positioning of Indian Economy in terms of  Indo- US Trade ” in the backdrop of 75 years of India’s Independence and ” 75 years of Indo- US Economic Relations ” .The economic conclave  was address by Shrimati Vandana Yadav ( IAS ) Secretary , Industry , Government of West Bengal, Ms. Melinda Pavek , Consul General of USA & Guest of Honour inagurated the conclave. Other distinguished personalities address the conclave were Dr. V Subba Rao former Governor of Reserve Bank of India, D K Joshi Chief Economist CRISIL Ltd, Debasish Sen MD, HIDCO , Chandra Shekhar Ghosh CMD Bandhan Bank , S. Bhattacharya former CMD ,Coal India Ltd , Sanjeev Paul VP , Tata Steel Ltd , Nirupam Choudhuri Regional Director , NASSCOM . Session Moderator was Dr. Suman Mukherjee ( Economist )Addressing the conclave , Vandana Yadav mentioned there are social & cultural ties as well as Defence and Trade ties between India and USA .  Vandana Yadav mentioned there is great scope for multi sectoral coorporation between India and USA including opportunities for investment by US  companies in upcoming projects in West Bengal including Defence corridor that is coming up.

Ms. Melinda Pavek US Consul General mentioned about more than two centuries old India- US relationship with Kolkata . USA is celebrating its 230 years of diplomatic presence in Kolkata in 2022.India-US relationship at 75 years  firmly rooted in shared values of democracy , freedom, prosperity and security .As  largest & oldest democracies in the world , India and USA are committed to preservation and promotion of shared ideals   and multisectoral cooperation & collaboration at bilateral, regional, global level.  While strengthening traditional sectors of cooperation in Defence & Trade,  India and USA  promoting cooperation & collaboration in cyber security, energy, climate issues , space including new and sunrise sectors .Kapil Kaul , National President,  IACC in his address emphasized on three ” E”–Energy , Ecology and Environment to be guiding factors while promoting multi sectoral
