GIRL students have outperformed males in the CBSE conducted Class 12th  examination. The results announced on Monday reveal that the girls have recorded a 5.96 percent higher pass percentage than boys. The overall pass percentage in this examination is 88.78. This year, the CBSE has recorded an increase of 5.38 percent in pass percentage compared to last year. Trivandrum region has recorded the highest pass percentage at 97.67 while Patna region lowest at 74.57.  The pass percentage of the Delhi region is 94.39.   The result can be accessed at  – www.cbseresults.nic.in , www.cbse.nic.in and  www.results.nic.in.  Students can also access the result through telephone number- 011- 24300699. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalavas (JNV) continue to top the CBSE affiliated schools when it comes to merit. The JNV system has posted a CBSE Class 12 pass percentage of a whopping 98.70 percent followed by Kendriya Vidyalayas at 98.62 percent, government schools at 94.94 percent, government-aided at 91.56 percent and independent at 88.22 percent. Children with special needs have also posted a good performance by scoring 91.68 percent. Only 3.24 percent of the candidates, who took the exams this year, has scored more than 95 percent marks as against 13.24 percent, who have scored more than 90 percent. Among children with special needs, a total of 2,536 registered for the test. Of them, 243 have scored over 90 percent and 42 over 95 percent. The percentage of students, who have got compartments, has reduced from 8.23 last year to 7.35 pc this year. Among the CBSE regions, Trivandrum has posted the top merit pass percentage of 97.67 percent followed by Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi west, Delhi east, Panchkula, Chandigarh, Bhubaneshwar, Bhopal, Pune, Ajmer, Noida, Guwahati, Dehradun, Prayagraj and Patna. Panchkula with 92.52 percent and Chandigarh 92.04 percent have been placed at sixth and seventh positions in the merit list for the 13 CBSE region. (image courtesy: Track.in)
