KEJRIWAL will take oath as Delhi’s CM on February 16 in the presence of several opposition leaders & public

ARVIND Kejriwal will take oath on February 16, Sunday for the third term as Chief Minister of Delhi after AAP’s emphatic win in the just concluded assembly elections. The former Indian Revenue Service officer and alumni of Kharagpur IIT in mechanical engineering, was born in Haryana’s Bhiwani on August 16,1968 as the first of the three children of Gobind Ram Kejriwal and Gita Devi. His father completed graduation from Birla Institute of Technology. Arvind Kejriwal spent his childhood days in Ghaziabad, Hisar, and Sonepat. He did his schooling from the Campus School in Hisar and Christian Missionary Holy Child School at Sonipat. He first became Chief Minister in 2013 after the newly formed AAP led by him defeated the Congress government after it ruled uninterrupted for 15 years. But he had to resign losing majority in the legislative assembly after 49 days. After assembly poll was held afresh, he again became Chief Minister after routing BJP and Congress. In the just concluded assembly elections, the ruling AAP has bagged as many as 62 seats and BJP has won 8 out of total 70 seats. Kejriwal has retained the prestigious New Delhi seat by polling 46,758 votes which is estimated at 61.1 percent of the total votes polled. Kejriwal is married to Sunita, his batch mate from the National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie. She   had taken VRS some years ago as an IRS officer. They have two children – a daughter, Harshita, and a son, Pulkit. Arvind Kejriwal is a pure vegetarian and has been a regular practitioner of Vipassana.
