Noted Tamil singer SP Balasubramanian, his wife tested positive for Covid-19, hospitalised

RAJNIKANTH, super film star, Bollywood star Anil Kapoor, Tamil stars Chiranjeevi, Dhanush, Chief MK Stalin and others have wished S P Balasubramanian,  iconic Tamil Singer, and his spouse speedy recovery They have been hospitalised following testing positive for coronavirus. Rajnikanth says noted vocalist Balasubramanian has sung in several Indian languages for over five decades and brought joy to crores of people through his pleasant voice. Rajnikanth has posted a video praising the singer for entertaining people. DMK president M K Stalin and top actor Rajinikanth felt overjoyed  that  singer S P Balasubrahmanyam’s health is showing improvement and  Rajinikanth said   that he has crossed the critical phase in  his  fight against COVID-19.”The news that Padum Nila meaning singing moon S P Balasubrahmanyam’s health is improving gives joy,” Stalin said in a Facebook post. The DMK chief hailed the 74-year old singer as one who “treated” the people for their worries through his heartwarming voice.”He should fully recover soon and continue his journey of songs,” Stalin said. The words “Padum Nila” almost became a prefix to the singer’s name in Tamil Nadu long ago reflecting the people’s praise for his cool, captivating voice. ‘’I pray to the Almighty for the speedy recovery of Balasubramanian who is still in the intensive care unit.’’ The famed vocalist was admitted to MGM Healthcare in Chennai after he tested positive for coronavirus. His son SP Charan said on Sunday that his father has been breathing a little more comfortably than before. Charan, who is also a filmmaker, expressed confidence that his father would recover from the infection.
