Confederation of All India Traders on Tuesday, 04 August 2020 expressed great satisfaction and vindication after Chinese company Vivo backed out from title sponsorship of the coming Indian Premier League due to pressure and strong resistance applied by CAIT. CAIT Secretary General Praveen Khandelwal said in a statement that even though we had expected the BCCI to remove Vivo but till the last moment it could not give up their lust for money and therefore the pressure applied by CAIT for boycotting the event and withholding permission for IPL 2020  has compelled the Chinese company to take such a decision. The CAIT has successfully been campaigning boycott China goods movement across the country. Khandelwal has strongly demanded that BCCI cancel sponsorship of all other Chinese Companies associated with IPL or BCCI in any way. He also said that due to COVID pandemic much larger sporting events including multi-national  Olympic games and Wimbledon have been deferred. IPL should also have been put on hold.
