NO DECISION has been taken as yet  to relax the ongoing lockdown scheduled to end on May 3 since coronavirus appears to be spreading in the national capital, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Sunday. May 19. Kejriwal, who with other CMs had pleaded with Prime Minister Narendra Modi for extending the lockdown from April 14, told media persons through a video conference that his government will assess the situation again after one week. As the virus has started spreading, containment zones have been increased, he said adding the situation is under control and it is being monitored. “There have been instances where people without symptoms were found infected by COVID-19. The Tablighi Jamaat Markaz is the reason for the spread of the virus accounting for 12 per cent of the cases detected across the country, he added. Several hundred attendees to the religious event held in Delhi’s Nazimuddin locality remain untraceable despite manhunt launched to nab them. Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Uttar Pradesh and some other states allege that the participants in the religious congregation after return to their home states have become a super spreader of the dreaded COVID-19.
