Comedian Bharti Singh, her husband sent to judicial custody till Dec 4

AMRITSAR born comedian, actress and television host  Bharati Singh and her husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa have been arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau in Mumbai following seizure of contraband from their house.  NCB said that Singh’s name had cropped up during the interrogation of a drug peddler. She and her husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa were during the day questioned in Mumbai’s NCB office. They have both been sent to judicial custody till December 4 by the special public prosecutor. Bharati Singh’s husband is an Indian screenwriter, producer and television personality. The agency said that 86.5 grammes of cannabis were recovered from Singh’s house when NCB sleuths conducted raid there. “Both Bharti and her husband Harsh Limbachiya accepted consumption of Ganja. While Bharti Singh has been arrested, the examination of Harsh Limbachiya is underway,” news agency ANI quoted NCB officials as saying. The agency said it carried out searches at two other locations in the metropolis and recovered 86.5 grams of Ganja. Several television and film personalities have been on NCB’s radar in connection with the drug probe that was triggered by the death of Rajput. Raids have been carried out at the flats of TV couple Sanam Johar and Abigail Pande, Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal and producer Firoz Nadiadwala.Bharti Singh is currently participating in “The Kapil Sharma Show” where she plays the character of “Lalli”. She also appears as a host on “India’s Best Dancer” along with husband Harsh.
