NADDA TAKES OVER AS BJP NATIONAL PRESIDENT FROM AMIT SHAH

AS expected, Jagat Prakash Nadda, 59, a low profile politician from Himachal Pradesh, was on Monday, January 20, elected uncontested  as
National President of Bharatiya Janata Party in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and other prominent BJP leaders. Nadda, former Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare succeeds Amit Shah whose term ended. He was functioning as Working President since June 2019. He is currently Member of the Rajya Sabha from Himachal Pradesh. Born to Krishna and Dr Narain Lall Nadda on 02/12/1960 at Patna, Nadda had been associated with the RSS as a youngster. He is an alumnus of St. Xavier’s High School, Patna College and Himachal Pradesh University After graduation from Patna University; he obtained LL. B from Himachal Pradesh University. He was Cabinet Minister in his home state before migrating to national politics and becoming PM Modi and HM Amit Shah’s trusted foot soldier.
