PM Modi says India will give a befitting reply if any attempt is made to violate its territorial integrity & sovereignty

The martyrdom of the  Indian Soldiers who died fighting in the violent clash in the Galwan Valley in Eastern Ladakh on  Monday, June  15 will not go in vain, says  Prime Minister Narendra Mod ahead of the second day of virtual meeting with the Chief Ministers of  State and Union Territories on Wednesday, June 17. The online interaction was held to lay out a road map to fight the corona pandemic. India will give a befitting reply to anyone who tries to violate its sovereignty and integrity, PM Modi said.

Modi paid homage to the martyred soldiers and remembered their valour.  India is a peace-loving nation which thrives on the principle of sacrifice.  Modi asserted that India always strives to reach out to its neighbouring countries to arrive at a common consensus. Highlighting the valour and courage of Indian soldiers, the Prime Minister said, the Nation has always prayed for peace in the region but in case of any incitement, it is ready to give a befitting reply. Mr Modi and the participating Chief Ministers stood up and observed two-minute silence remembering the martyrs of Galwan Valley. Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh on Wednesday, June 17 reviewed the Ladakh Border situation at a meeting at South Block with Chief of Defence Staff and Secretary Department of Military Affairs General Bipin Rawat, Chief of Army Staff General MM Naravane, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Karambir Singh and Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal R K S Bhadauria. Later in a tweet, RM Rajnath Singh mourned the loss of lives in the border clashes and said, “The loss of soldiers in Galwan is deeply disturbing and painful. Our soldiers displayed exemplary courage and valour in the line of duty and sacrificed their lives in the highest traditions of the Indian Army. “The Nation will never forget their bravery and sacrifice. My heart goes out to the families of the fallen soldiers. The Nation stands shoulder to shoulder with them in this difficult hour. We are proud of the bravery and courage of India’s brave hearts.”BJP Spokesman Amit Malviya says  ‘’By all accounts, both in national and international media, strategic affairs and security experts included, the casualty on the Chinese side is far higher than on the Indian and the LAC was not violated. This has however upset some ‘assets’, who have been spinning vile stories ‘about India’.
