NPP calls for explanation from BJP leadership for ignoring Martyrdom Day of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev

LEGAL Luminary from Jammu & Kashmir Prof. Bhim Singh has questioned ‘’unexplained silence’’ of the BJP leadership on the martyrdom of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev who were hanged inside Lahore Central Jail, then in undivided India on 23rd March, 1931. It was exactly 50 years after their selfless sacrifice of lives that the Panthers Party was established on 23rd March, 1982. Prof. Bhim Singh said that though the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have tweeted their messages on the occasion perhaps due to COVID-19,’’ the entire national leadership of BJP kept a surprising silence’’. It is more shocking that the memorial of Shaheed-e-azam at Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, New Delhi is less than 2 kms from the BJP headquarters on Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg, not even an Executive Member of the BJP landed at the memorial to pay respects to the martyrs .BJP need to answer the entire Nation about this indifferent attitude towards great martyrs,  Prof Bhim Singh said adding that the BJP leadership has to explain to the entire Nation and its own party the reasoning and rationale behind the BJP’s Act of neglecting Shaheed Bhagat Singh and other martyrs who were nationalist, progressive and believed in the struggle for the upliftment of have-nots, said Bhim Singh, also NPP Supremo, and expressed shock that this martyr Day was not observed at National level or even at the Headquarters of the ruling Bhartiya Janta Party. The Party observed martyrs’ Day at every doorstep of Panthers volunteers in the undivided state of J&K and organized similar martyrs’ day in Bihar, Lucknow, Delhi, Jaipur, Chandigarh and other places saluting the great martyrs and urging the Parliament to decorate all martyrs as Bharat Ratan who sacrificed their lives during the India’s freedom struggle.
