Britain’s Prince Charles has appreciated India’s ‘sustainable’ way of life amid coronavirus pandemic saying that the country’s diversity and resilience is a personal inspiration for him and much to teach all. Addressing India Global week 2020 through video link, he said India’s philosophies and values have emphasised a sustainable way of life and a harmonious relationship between humanity and nature. Prince Charles said that he spoke to Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the importance of “sustainable living”. Lauding the ancient yogic concept of ‘Aparigraha’, Prince of Wales said it’s the time when the world learnt this ancient wisdom from India as it seeks revival amid the pandemic. The Prince of Wales emphasised on sustainable development as the world tries to rebuild from the ongoing Covid-19 crisis. We have an unparalleled opportunity to put people and planet at the heart of global value creation and move to sustainable markets for long-term value, balancing natural, social and physical capital. Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had invited global companies to invest in India saying  India is one of the most open economies in the world. He said that very few countries will offer the kind of opportunities India provides. There are many possibilities and opportunities in India like agriculture, MSME, Defence, Space and Pharma sectors. Atma Nirbhar Bharat is not about being self-contained or being close to the world, but it is about being self-sustaining and self-generating.
