Cabinet approves bonus for non-gazetted govt employees

FOR boosting consumer demand, the  Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister  Narendra Modi has approved productivity linked and non-productivity linked Bonus for 2019-2020. More than 3 million non-gazetted employees will benefit from the bonus with a total financial implication of  Rs 3,737 crores. It was announced at a briefing on Wednesday, October 21, by Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting  Prakash  Javadekar. The bonus will be given in a single installment, through Direct Benefit Transfer, before Vijayadashami. The  Cabinet also okayed The  Jammu and Kashmir Panchayati Raj Act, 1989 Seeking to establish three tiers grass-root level democracy in Jammu and Kashmir like in other parts of the country. It was promised by Prime Minister in Kashmir and by Home Minister Amit Shah in Parliament, Javadekar said.
