VIVO IPL will be as per schedule, BCCI Prez Sourav Ganguly

DESPITE healthcare authorities apprehending spread of COVID-19 due to large public gatherings, BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has decided to go ahead with the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League. The annual cricket event of 20- over game will be played from March 29 with 7 matches in Mumbai. The opener will be at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The defending champions Mumbai Indians will play Chennai Super Kings to kickstart the championship. The final will be played on Sunday ,24 May at the same venue. Confirming the commencement of the VIVIO IPL as scheduled, the BCCI boss, assured everybody associated with the cash-rich league that the board will be taking all necessary precautions before and during the tournament. As in the previous years, there will be a total of eight of teams which will partake in 60 competitive matches in the eagerly awaited tournament from March 29 to May 24. They are Chennai Superb Kings, Delhi Capitals, Kings X1 Punjab, Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers and Sunrisers Hyderabad.
